She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. Thornton and Minnie H. Thornton; her husband Jessie Lee McCoy; her son Steven Lynn McCoy; her siblings, Oden Thornton (Louise), Garnett Thornton (Margaret), Johnny Thornton and Diane Sheppard; and her siblings-in-law, Reba Porterfield, Donald McCoy (Oeda), Doug McCoy (Polly), Arnold (Josephine), Aubrey (Lourine), Ellwood White and R. C. Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Garry Lee McCoy (Cheryl) and Judy McCoy Keister (Mike); her grandchildren, Ryan Keister, Julie M. Pittenturf (Chris), Brock Keister (Michelle) and Lauren K. Surface (J. T.); her siblings, Carmell Miller, Curtiss Thornton and Barbara; and her brother-in-law Frank Sheppard. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
