He was predeceased by: his mother Emma Thiel Burke; his son Matt; his siblings, Bob and Mary; and his wife Kicki.

He is survived by: his daughter Christine (Patrick Brady); his sister Helen Huver; and his grandchildren, Callie Secrist, Emma (Ben Webster) and Thiel Secrist.
