Joe Audley Kern Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2021, at the age of 89, Joe Audley Kern of Big Stone Gap, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandson Stacy; his wife Alma Ruth Stanley Kern; his sons, Donald Perry Kern and James Darrell Kern; his parents, George R Kern and Lillie P Kern; his siblings, Leonard (Polly Kern), Dillard (Lillian Kern), Clayton (Virginia Kern), Fred Kern, Ova (Robert Stanley), Cindy (Marvin Stanley) and Zelma (Henry Stanley); his son Billy Joe Shupe; his grandsons, Daniel Stacy Kern and Joel Ray Shupe; and his sister-in-law Fay Kern. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, family is asking that memorial contributions be made to the family to assist with funeral costs.
