Frances Marie Roller Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frances Marie Roller (Big Stone Gap, Virginia), born in Wise, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 2, 2025 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hobbs and Minnie Hobbs; her siblings, Sybil Hobbs, Ginny Neely, Herbert Hobbs, George Hobbs, Carroll Hobbs, Erwin Hobbs, Clinton Hobbs, Johnny Hobbs, Charlie Hobbs, Tommy Hobbs, James Hobbs and Junior Hobbs; and her sons, David Tignor, Roger Tignor and Lloyd Tignor.

She is survived by: her son Douglas Tignor of Dryden; her stepdaughter Sue Edens of Pennington Gap, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Destiny Tignor of Knoxville, Tennessee, Leslie Gill (Billy) of Bean Station, Tennessee, Carey Tignor, Traci Priest (Troy) of Louisville, Kentucky and Christopher Tignor of Norton, Virginia.; and her great grandchildren, Hunter Ford of Blountville and Anais Tignor of Norton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A reception was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Holding Funeral Home (17 E 3rd St N, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219). A burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Glencoe Cemetery (14 Spring St, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219). A procession was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
