He is survived by: his children, Shaye Durham (Dustin) of Appalachia, Derek Lane (Amber Payne) and Jarod Person of Appalachia; his siblings, David Lane (Debra), Rick Lane, Appalachia Lane and Jerry Lane of Appalachia; and his grandchildren, Addison, Hezekiah, Chloe, Kaleigh and Athea. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
