With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hershel Paul Scarberry of Big Rock, Virginia, born in Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on March 13, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Scarberry and Delphia Dotson Scarberry; his daughter Susanna Varney; and his siblings, Edward Scarberry, Rosie Dotson, Fern Justus, Ruby Estep and Gladys Sargent.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Lynn Scarberry Cantrell of Big Rock, VA, Alice Marie Scarberry of Big Rock, VA, Kenny Scarberry and Jackie Scarberry (Shelia); his brothers, Roy Scarberry (Sandra Kay) of Owsley County, KY and Vernon Scarberry; his grandchildren, Kristen Campbell (Shawn), Nathan Dotson, Justin Scarberry, Trista Lester (Aaron), Brandy Lester, II (James), Cody Charles (Courtney), Andrea Cantrell, Ethan Kennedy (Faith) and Emily Charles; and his nephew Teddy Dotson. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews and friends.
