He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Rood and Velma Rood; his son William Jackson Rood (B. J.); and his siblings, Paul Atkins, Glen Rood and Barbara Atkins.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Mitchen Rood; his sons, Adam Rood and Justin Rood; his mother-in-law Juanita Mitchen; and his siblings-in-law, Rebecca Harrison (Daniel), Ronnie Mitchen (Stephanie) and Robert Mitchen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
