He is survived by: his parent Meta Boyce Pifer; his wife Edythe Renner Pifer; his children, Patricia Pifer of Winchester, VA and William Earl Pifer, Jr.; his wife Suzanne of Winchester, VA; his grandchildren, William Earl Pifer III, Matthew Reese Lynn, Scott Edward Lynn and John "Jack" Frederick Pifer; and his great grandchildren, Kiana Lynn, Gabriella Pifer and Noah Southerland.
