He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Jones Staples; his children, Jeremy Staples (Angelika) and Jennifer Staples; his grandchildren, Lia and Benjamin; his nephew Robert Staples (Bob) of Vienna, VA; and his niece Mary Ann Fairweather of Florida.
