He is survived by: his wife Linda Dofflemyer Tavenner; his daughters, Melanie Tavenner Parks (Michael) of Leesburg, VA, Julie Elizabeth Tavenner (Geb) of Winchester, VA, Deirdre Michelle Larrick (Melanie) of Fort Valley, VA and Melissa Rae Tisinger (Trent) of Winchester, VA; his grandsons, Connor Vaughn Tavenner and Spencer Harris Parks; and his siblings, Bill Tavenner of Berryville, VA and Pat Carter (Joe) of Vancouver, WA. He is also survived by three nieces.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home (1050 W Main St, Berryville, VA 22611). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel (1050 W Main St, Berryville, VA 22611).
