She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Dawson and Catherine Dawson (Shrout); her husband Ross Edward Whitacre; her son Ed; and her siblings, Peggy Sidaway and Bill Dawson.
She is survived by: her daughter Gloria Eshelman (Ray); her daughter-in-law Val Whitacre; her granddaughters, Jenny Hunter (Dan), Julie Shreve (Bruce), Lisa Yarwasky (Toby) and Sarah Barnes (Dennis); and her great grandchildren, Sam, Ethan, Gabby, Owen, Samantha, Caleb and Alexander.
