He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William Braithwaite and Iva Pearl Braithwaite; his son Vincent Dean Braithwaite; and his siblings, Theda Willingham, Martha Tomblin, Grace Baker and William Braithwaite.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Allen Braithwaite of Berryville, VA, Clifford Dale Braithwaite of Boyce, VA and Tracey Marie Huff of Berryville, VA; and his brothers, Charles Edward Braithwaite of Winchester, VA, Robert Braithwaite and Marshall Ronald Braithwaite. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
