With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gertrude French Foster of Berryville, Virginia, born in Charlottesville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 11, 2024. In the vast expanse of eternity, Gertrude French shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gertrude French farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry and Louise Virginia Darrow Foster; and her siblings, Sue Walter, Janet Conlon, Sandra Foster and Harold Foster.
She is survived by: her siblings, Barbara Mallory (Steve), Virgie Foster (Don) and John D. Foster. She is also survived by her loving family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Maddox Funeral Home (105 W Main St, Front Royal, VA 22630). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
