He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. J. W. Lantz and Dollie Dove Lantz; his wife Odessa Etta Dove; his siblings, Grant Lantz, Ray Lantz, Hays Lantz, Ruby Keplinger, Ada Ritchie and Beulah Dove; and his son-in-law Steven Caldwell.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Lantz (Deborah) of Bergton, Hugh Lantz (Miriam) of Prosper, TX, Keith Lantz of Rockingham, Chris Lantz (Rachel) of Penn Laird, Linda Wilkins (Stanley) of Mathias, WV and Cathy Caldwell of Broadway; his grandchildren, Michelle Domangue (Brinton), Michael Lantz (Eleanor), Jason Lantz (Kristin), Crystal Lantz (Brandon May), Steven Lantz, Ryan Lantz, Julie Sions, Lacosta Barb (Franklin), Tyler Caldwell and Dylan Lantz; and his daughter-in-law Nancy Lantz of Harrisonburg. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
