She was predeceased by: her parents, David Leonard and Lelia Viola Hinkle Smith; her husband Wilson Blaine Yankey; and her siblings, Ray Smith, Alford Smith, Leo Smith, Alma Crider, Odessa See and Bernice Combs.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Faye Reedy of Bergton, Holly Irene Whetzel of Bergton, Sharon Lee Tusing of Broadway and Beverly Wilson Yankey of Mathias, WV; and her siblings, Carl W. Smith of Broadway and Linda Miller of Lacey Spring. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Damascus Church of the Brethren (20906 Criders Rd, Criders, VA 22820).
