She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Dove and Nannie Simons Dove. She is survived by: her husband Carl Martin; her sons, Steven Ashenfelter, Tony Ashenfelter and Eric Ashenfelter; her grandchildren, Kaleb, Mykala and Austin; and her siblings, Barbara Wine, Catherine Smallwood, Betty Jennings, Shirley Turner, Charles Dove, Evelyn Elliott, Mildred Dellinger, Beatrice Hall, Jesse Ray Dove, Ogretta Cook, Hazel See, Edith Hammond and Virginia Breighner. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bergton Gospel Center (19507 Brocks Gap Rd, Bergton, VA 22811).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway, VA, towards the cost of final expenses.
