Lonnie Lewis Lester Obituary
Lonnie Lewis Lester, 79, of Bent Mountain, VA, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday March 26th. Lonnie was the owner of General Heating and Air and served the people of Virginia and West Virginia for many years. Making friends everywhere he went. He was a member of 7th Day Adventist Church for 60 Years.
He was preceded by his parents: John and Ethel Lester; siblings: Raymond Lester and Naoma Cochran; sister-in-law: Joanne; best friends: Ray and Martha Smith and Jack Chapman.
Survived by wife of 59 years: Judy Lester; two sons: Michael Lester (Teresa), David Lester and his girlfriend Julie and her daughter Mia; grandchildren: Brandon (Fiancé Ashley and her son Danyl), Michael II, Michaela, and Tiffanie; great grandchildren: Kinziee and Gatlin; siblings: Floyd (Martha), James "Russ" (Margaret), Johnny (Patricia), Ken and Ida Mae; best friends: Larry and Dorlia Cox, Kenny and Carol Calhoun, and Ann Chapman; two fury friends: Pistol and Shotgun.
Services will be held Friday March 31 at 1PM at Beckley Church of God, 2213 S. Kanawha St. with burial following at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 105 Sand Stone Dr. Beckley, WV 25801. The family will receive friends one hour before service time at the church. Those serving as pallbearers are: Mike Lester, Brandon Lester, Gatlin Lester, Tom Shupe, Rick Shupe, James Shupe, Howard Cox, and Dougie Ratcliff.
