John David left this world on February 18, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Briggs and Flossie Briggs; his wife Susan Wiatt Briggs; his daughter Betty Boyd Briggs; and his siblings, Robert Taylor Briggs, Carl Briggs, Harrel Richard Briggs and Mary Hughes.
He is survived by: his son John Wiatt Briggs (Rebekah Hope Briggs); his grandsons, Dylan Sean Richards and Brody Edward Sadler; his daughter Susan Briggs Willard (Scott Arthur Willard); and his grandchildren, Claire Helen Willard, Connor Dawson Willard and Carolyn Hoover.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church (6470 Main St, Gloucester, VA 23061). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
His family has requested memorial contributions be made to the JD Briggs Fund by the Samaritan Group, 6494 Main Street, Gloucester, VA 23061.
