She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Hill and Goldie Hill; her son Charles Newberry; and her siblings, Bobby Hill and Lola Hicks.
She is survived by: her husband Basil Newberry; her son James Newberry, Sr.; her daughter-in-law Jessica; her grandchildren, Hannah (Cole), Hailey, Gladys, James Jr., Destiny, Kyleigh and Andrew; her great grandchild Everleigh; and her brother Jerry Hill. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
