She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Simmons and Prudie Simmons; her husband James Allen Shane; her grandson Jamie Brown; and her siblings, Elizabeth Cottrell, Dwanda Burack, Virginia Sumpter and Francis Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Allen Shane, Christopher Ryan Shane and Shannon Marie Shane; her grandchildren, Jesse Austin Shane and Kayla Marie Brown; her brother Robert Simmons; and her pet Maggie May. She is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren, many other relatives, and friends.
