He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Lee, Jr. and Myrtle Louise Roope; and his brothers, Terry Wayne and John Roope. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kaye Smart Roope; his daughter Jennifer Roope-Layton (David); and his grandson Nathan Edward Layton. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sunrise Burial Park (7228 Round House St, Fairlawn, VA 24141).
