She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Long and Lela Long; her husband Davis Lester, Jr.; and her siblings, Marvin Long, Geraldine Stephens and Daffodil Buckner.

She is survived by: her sons, Stephen Lester (Lisa), Ronland Lester, Donald Lester and Todd Lester. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
