He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Gabbard Brunk; his parents, Paul F. Brunk and Dorothy M. Lower Brunk; his siblings, Paul F. Brunk Jr. and Dorothy Ross; and his son John H. Brunk.
He is survived by: his children, Russell D. Brunk (Gina Brunk) of Jamesville, VA and Paula E. Burian (Evzen Burian) of Virginia Beach, VA; his daughter-in-law Sheila Brunk; his grandchildren, Walter D. Brunk and Kasey L. Brunk; and his great grandchild Cooper R. Brunk. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
