He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his children, Hank (Ivy), Rachel and Thomas (Katie); his grandchildren, Julia and William; his brother Mac (Josephine); his aunt Joan Croy; and his cousins, Richard Marian, Pamela Marian, Stephen Croy, Linda (John Owens) and Cathy (Steve Rice).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke.
