She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roger Eliot Gay and Ruth Hollister Gay; her husband John W. Hammons; and her children, Charles W. Haddock (Kate), Clifford G. Hammons (Margaret) and Kimberly H. Coffey (Douglas). She was also cherished by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
