He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Gladys St; his significant other Claudia Guthrie; his father Albert Ross Wheeler; his sister Ruby Wheeler Flowers; his children, Susan Ann Wheeler and Sherman Albert Wheeler Jr. (Claudia Guthrie); his sisters, Della Wheeler Maddox (Charles), Mary Wheeler Hawks (Ray) and Shirley Wheeler Carter (Grover); his sons, Bobby Lee Wheeler and Timothy Ross Wheeler (Evan William Garst); and his stepchildren, Kenneth Guthrie, Tina Fields and Donna Blevins.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Roanoke Va.
