He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Earl Gibbs, Sr. and Margaret O'Neal Wilmer Gibbs. He is survived by: his wife Doris Blankenship Gibbs; his daughters, Donna Anduiza (Tony), Diane Gibbs, Janet Amos, Vickie Fleming (Tommy) and Tammy Shockley (Freddie); and his sister Gwendolyn Craig. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
