He was predeceased by: his father Chester Hawthorne Abbott; his son Larry Wayne Abbott; and his brother Carroll Abbott. He is survived by: his wife Carol Payne Abbott; his daughter Melissa Mayhew (Jody); his grandchildren, Julianna and Austin Mayhew; and his sister-in-law Cathy Abbott. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
