She was predeceased by: her parents, Garneda Wooden and Wiley Thomas Goad; and her parents-in-law, Evelyn and Hubert Short (William Warren Short). She is survived by: her husband William Short (Bill); her children, Garneda Skinnell (Ken) of Bedford, VA and Randol Short (Randy) of Martinez, CA; her grandchildren, Haley Skinnell (NeChole), Shaun McClure of Charlotte, NC, Justin Skinnell of Grants Pass, OR, Riley Cooper and Morgan Jo of Martinez, CA; her great grandchildren, Joshua James, Laurryn Olivia, Averie Rose and Isabelle Riley; her brothers, Ted Goad (Linda) of Pleasant Hill, CA, Tom Goad (Susan) of Lodi, CA and Terry Short (Michelle) of Sunnyvale, CA; her nephew Jeffery Goad (Marah); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Wiley Augustus, Andrew Goad, Michelle Goad, Mary Winter (Andy) and Thomas Goad, Jr..
