He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Johnson; and his siblings, Shirley Johnson, Sally Martin, Arlen Scales, Mary Rogers, Helen Rogers, Charles Johnson of George Wright and Luther Scales.
He is survived by: his son Raymond Benton Johnson II; his nieces, Darlonda Williams, Carla Barber, Chakira Barber, Pamela Philips, Dartonya Looney, Tia Scales, Karen Copeland-Miller, Rochelle Clark, Sandra Washington, Ellen Bea and Deborah Washington; his nephew Larry Scales; and also Michael Thomas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as many other loving family members and friends.
