He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Willis and Sally Galliher Willis; his wife Gay Long Willis; and his siblings, Hobart Willis, Telma Arnold, Fredia Stout and Bonnie Crumley.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Willis of Bedford, Phyllis Seward (Ernest) of Lynchburg, Randy Willis of Abingdon, Kay W. Willis of Bristol, Mike Willis of Lynchburg, Barry Willis (Darla) of Meadowview, Betty Cooke (Craig) of Lynchburg, Sandy Micklem (Glenn) of Madison Heights, Hopie W. Irvin of Madison Heights and Joanne Coffey of Lynchburg, Virginia; his sister Shirley Jones; and his close friends, David White of Madison Heights and Sharon Cash of Lynchburg, VA.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and three great-great- grandchildren.
