He was predeceased by: his father George Edward; his brothers, Ray Edward Smith and Wayne Lee Smith; and his former wife Jane Saul Smith. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Sloan Smith; his children, Patrick Todd Smith (Jennifer DeGrie) and Angela Smith Perdue (Raymond); his stepsons, Brandon Sloan (Tracy) and Brian Sloan (Eliza); and his siblings, Lois Smith Borough, Ruby Smith Dooley (Tim), Joyce Smith Witt (Gary), Ronnie Smith (Becky) and Roger "Pete" Smith (Vickie). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
