He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Johnson and Annie Mason Johnson; and his son William Lyle Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Helen Mayhew Johnson; his daughters, Mary Lou Laughlin (Greg), Amy Galaini (Mitch) and Laura Ruff (John); and his siblings, Bobby Johnson (Shirley) and Priscilla Goff (Jim). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
