With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin L. King of Bedford, Virginia, who passed away on September 4, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Eubank King; his parents, Thomas Elbert and Joyce Conner King; and his siblings, Inus King Hudson, Bertha King Dodson, E. John King, Evine E. King, Thomas A. King, Kenneth N. King, Mary Martha King, Arthur W. King (Joe) and Norman B. King.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda; his son-in-law Mike Hodges; his son Rick; his daughter-in-law Marla King; his grandchildren, Brian (Lauren Hodges), Amanda (Seth Houser), Jared King and Mark (Heather Hodges); and his great grandchild Daniel Hodges. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
