She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Russell Woodford, Jr. and Willie Anna Hawkins Woodford; her former husband William Fariss; her husband Clarence Marvin Hodges, Jr.; and her brother Winston Woodford.
She is survived by: her sister Emily Fitzgerald; her children, Samuel Anderson Fariss (Martha), David William Fariss and Joanna Fariss Peterson (Herb); her grandchildren, Lilly Rodgers (Tim), Isaiah Fariss (Jennifer), Casey Fariss, Russell Peterson, Katherine Peterson and Alison Peterson; and her sister-in-law Barbara Woodford. She is also survived by three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
