He was predeceased by: his spouse Cheryl Witt Buckley; and his parents, Joseph Eldridge Buckley and Nancy Johnson Buckley Early. He is survived by: his son Joseph R. Buckley, Jr.; his wife Laura III of Forest; his daughters, Nancy B. Jackson (Lare) of Concord, Amherst Hicks of Concord and Shannon B. Hicks (Tony) of Concord; and also Victor Turner, III of Forest. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
