He was predeceased by: his parents, William Moorman Thompson and Delia Fielder Thompson; and his siblings, Frances Robertson, Pearl Thompson, Mary Updike, Edward Thompson, William Thompson and Jack Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Kendrick Thompson of Bedford; his children, Teresa Selove (David) of Centreville, Kathy Ramyar (Kami) of Mint Hill, NC and Greg Thompson of Bedford; his grandson Ryan Selove of Chantilly; his sister Annie Lee Branch of Reidsville, NC; and his sister-in-law Louise Thompson of Hardy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
