He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Mae Spradlin and John Henry Cox; and his sisters, Barbara Lloyd and Shirley Wood. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Allen Cox; his children, David Cox, Jr. (Courtney) and Leanne Landers (Glenn); and his grandsons, Will Schmidt, Chase Landers and Chris Cox. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
