He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Mitchell and Sadie Mitchell; and his siblings, Calvin, Rogers, Elsie, Sue, Nancy and Patsy.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Mark Mitchell (Nancy) and Pam Carter (Nathaniel); his grandson Mark William Carter; his brother Danny Mitchell (Melody); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce D. Mitchell and Jamie Kennedy.
