He is survived by: his former wife Joan White King; his son Stephen; his siblings, Lilly, Ada, Beatrice, Nellie, Olive, Anna, Harry, Helen, Charles, Freda and Orville; his wife Anneliesa King of Bedford, Virginia; his children, Debbie King of Atglen, Steve King (Erika King) of Christiana, Wendy King Buitendijk (Hans Buitendijk) of Chester Springs, Doug King of Malvern and Gregory King (Alison King) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Diana, Weston, Gillian, Savannah and Cyndal; his great grandchild Harry; his siblings, Ida May K. Sheppeck and William Richard King; and his friend Dr. Suzanne Shalet.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bedford Tharp Funeral Home (320 N Bridge St, Bedford, VA 24523). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Willistown Friends Meeting (7069 Goshen Rd, Newtown Square, PA 19073).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Hunter's honor to his GoFundMe (https://gofund.me 81ddfb24), which will be used to set up a memorial in his name at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia.
