He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Howard Leist, Sr. and Lorena Auer Leist; and his stepmother Beatrice Leist. He is survived by: his siblings, Lloyd Herman Leist, Patricia Ann Brookman, Harold Edward Leist, Harvey Leo Leist and Charles Howard Leist, Jr.; his wife Martha Bain Leist (Marty); his children, Matthew Sterling Leist (Lori), Heather Landon Williams (Kyle) and Julie Alexa Leist; his grandchildren, Abigail Kenna Williams, Charlotte Ann Williams and Britton Isaac Haden; and his stepbrothers, Robert McGraw, Alan McGraw, Kevin McGraw and Scott McGraw.
