He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Staunton Wood and Lena Estelle Weaver Wood; his wife Charlotte Wood; his siblings, Faye, Jane, Lois and Jerry; and his grandson Matthew Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Frank Wayne Wood, Jr. and Dawn Beverly Raider (Trey); his stepchildren, Kevin Gosnell and Kathy Gosnell; his grandchildren, Angela Gosnell (Matthew), Kyle Franklin (Amanda) and Dewey Franklin; and his niece Robin Shifflett. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home (320 N Bridge St, Bedford, VA 24523). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
