He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Hale and Nettie McGuire Hale; and his brothers, Joseph Hale, James Hale and William Hale.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Hale, Jackie Hale (Sandra), Donald Hale (Jennie), Patricia Goad (Randy), Michael Hale (Tabitha) and Jimmy Hale (Terese). He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
