He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Burford Toms and Mary Gross Toms. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Toms; his son Elbert Lowry Toms; his grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Johnson and Mary Margaret Campbell; his great grandchildren, Alexis Toms-Parker, Kenneth Johnson, Jr., Khizer Johnson, McKayla Marie Toms and Ana Grace Campbell; his sister Doris Lafon (Ralph); his niece Crystal Lafon; and his nephew Ricky Lafon.
