He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Griffin Trent and Ilene Spradlin Trent; his wife Lois Little Trent; and his siblings, Marvin Lee Trent, Violette Gay Trent, Richard "Jack" Alexander Trent, Eugene Trent and Nancy Trent Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Trent Cole (Randy), Edwin "Eddie" R. Trent, Jr. (Kathy), Gary M. Trent (Andrea) and Lisa Trent Moneymaker (Mike); his grandchildren, Sara Cole, Christopher "Chris" Cole, Marissa Moneymaker and Michael Moneymaker; and his great grandchild Robert "Lane" Campbell.
