She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Bilyeu and Edna Bilyeu (Moore); her husband Alvin D. Shaffer; and her siblings, Willie James Bilyeu, Tommy Wayne Bilyeu, Mary Sue Bilyeu and Wanda Bilyeu Keith.
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Barry D. Shaffer, Dr. Michael B. Shaffer, Dr. Mark A. Shaffer and Daniel L. Shaffer; and her sisters, Ruth Bilyeu Adams, Barbara Jean Rawls and Shirley Bilyeu Carroll. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many cousins.
