She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John A. Akers; her parents, Harry Morgan and Della Wood Morgan of Caldwell, WV.; her daughter Kimberly Akers; her son-in-law Avery Rose; her sister Shirley Patton (James); her nephew Kevin Wagner; her niece Carrie Peralta; her great-nephew Julian Peralta; her great-niece Estrella Peralta; and her pets, Fergie, Roxi and Jezzi.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bedford Welcome Center (816 Burks Hill Rd, Bedford, VA 24523).
