He is survived by: his wife Susan Holmstead (Murray); his children, Gene Holmstead of Boston and Karen Holmstead of Nashua, NH.; and also, Dr. Edward, Phyllis Connolly of Weston, MA, Robert and Joan Cassidy of Yardley, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Bedford Recreation Department, 12 Mudge Way, Bedford, MA 01730.
