He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Arrington and Reaver Gillispie Arrington; his son Dennie Jr.; his brothers, Bobby and Charles; and his siblings-in-law, Otis Sandifer, James Little, James R. Scruggs, Della and Barbara.
He is survived by: his significant other Bea; his children, Joseph (Diane) of Lynchburg and Stefanie A. Feese (Jamie); his grandchildren, Ramsey, Riley of Forest, Cindy Zich of North Carolina, Denise Hutchinson of Florida and Pam Norman (Harley) of Lynchburg; his siblings, John Wesley Arrington III (Dorothy), Dorothy Sandifer, Iris Little and Peggy Tyree (Butch); and also Frances S. Coleman. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
