She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Robert Hensley and Minerva Jane Holdren Hensley; her son-in-law Whorten Bane Bowyer; her brother Lewis Carson Hensley; her husband Pete Ware, Jr.; and her son Pete.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Bowyer of Goode, Darlene Ware of Bedford, Fred Ware (Rhonda) of Crewe, Ed Ware (Cindy) of Bedford and Steve Ware (Tamitha) of Bedford; her grandchildren, Amanda Lynch (Cline), Pete Bowyer, Amber Overstreet (Joseph), Trey Boyles (Samantha), Dustin Boyles (Brittany), Andy Ware, Macie Ware, Regan Ware and Cheyenne Dooley (Camden); her great grandchildren, Madilynn, Kaleb, Bryson Boyles, Peyton, Cole Lynch, Leigha, Isaiah Boyles, Cymber, Coraline and Casey Dooley; and her siblings, Clyde Hensley, Wayne Hensley (Judy) and Christine Bryant.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service (1140 W Lynchburg Salem Turnpike, Bedford, VA 24523). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Updike Funeral Chapel (1140 W Lynchburg Salem Turnpike, Bedford, VA 24523). A burial was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:45 AM at the Virginia Memorial Park (11490 Forest Rd, Forest, VA 24551).
